Send push notifications
Write a push, choose who gets it and what it opens, then send it now or schedule it. eBazoo sets up delivery for you.
In this article
Push notifications reach customers who installed your published app and allowed notifications. eBazoo sets up push delivery for your app on iOS and Android, so there’s nothing for you to configure.
Before you start
Open Push Notifications and look at Setup:
- Ready: you can send.
- Being set up by eBazoo: we’re connecting delivery for your app. You can write campaigns and save them as drafts now, and send them once it’s ready.
- Needs attention: contact us at hello@ebazoo.com and we’ll reconnect it. You can keep preparing drafts.
Reachable devices shows how many installed apps have notifications allowed. Customers turn notifications on under Account in your app.
Write a push
- Under Compose, enter a Campaign name. Only you see it.
- Write the Title and Message. Phones usually show the first 40 to 50 characters of the title.
- Optional: add an Image (a public https link), shown when the notification is expanded.
- In When tapped, open, choose where it takes customers: Home, all collections, a collection, a product, Search, Cart, Wishlist or Account.
Tip: On Growth and up, click Write with AI, say what the push is for, and choose Suggest 3 options. Use this fills in the title and message for you to edit. It uses 1 AI credit, and nothing is sent until you send it.
Choose who gets it
In Audience, send to all reachable devices or to a segment.
To create a segment, go to Segments and click New segment. Add up to 10 rules, and a device must match every rule:
- Platform (iOS or Android)
- Device language
- App version
- Opened the app within a number of days
- Viewed a collection
- Added to cart within a number of days
Segments use anonymous app activity only, never customer names or emails. They update automatically as devices change.
Send now or schedule
- To schedule, pick a time in Schedule and click Schedule.
- To send straight away, click Send now and confirm. Sent notifications can’t be recalled.
- With no time set, Save draft keeps it for later. You can Cancel a draft or a scheduled push.
See how it did
The Campaigns table shows each push’s status and results: targeted, delivered, failed, opened and open rate. Opens are counted once per phone, when a customer taps the notification, and only for customers who allowed analytics in your app.
Your app also keeps recent pushes sent to everyone in a Notifications screen. Customers open it from the bell in the header (add it in Design Studio under Header) or from the menu.
Monthly push sends
| Plan | Push sends a month |
|---|---|
| Basic | 10,000 |
| Growth | 25,000 |
| Scale | 150,000 |
| Enterprise | 1,000,000 |
Each device a push is sent to counts as one send, and the allowance resets at the start of each month. If a push would go over what’s left this month, it isn’t sent. Send to a smaller segment, wait for next month, or upgrade your plan.
