Publish your app to the App Store and Google Play
Create your Apple and Google developer accounts, invite hello@ebazoo.com, and we build, submit and update your app under your own business name.
In this article
eBazoo publishes your app in Apple’s App Store and Google Play under your own business name. You create the developer accounts and invite us. We do the technical work from there.
What you do and what we do
- You: join the Apple Developer Program, create a Google Play developer account, invite hello@ebazoo.com to both, and confirm the invitations in Mobile App Builder.
- eBazoo: registers your app’s bundle ID and package name, creates the app records, manages signing certificates and keys, sets up push notifications, builds and tests your app, uploads your listing and screenshots, submits it for review, answers reviewer questions and ships updates.
You stay the owner: the apps, listings, reviews and customers belong to your developer accounts. You can remove our access at any time, but then we can’t publish updates.
Tip: We never ask for your Apple or Google password or a two-factor code. An invitation is all we need.
Step 1: Join the Apple Developer Program
- Enroll at developer.apple.com/programs/enroll. Membership is US$99 a year (or the local equivalent), paid directly to Apple.
- Enroll as an organization so your company name appears as the seller. You’ll need your legal entity name, a D-U-N-S Number (free from Dun & Bradstreet; issuing one can take several business days), a website on your company’s domain, and authority to sign for the company.
An individual account shows your personal name as the seller.
Step 2: Invite us to App Store Connect
- Sign in to App Store Connect as the Account Holder or an Admin and open Users and Access.
- Click + and enter first name eBazoo, last name Publishing, and the email hello@ebazoo.com.
- Choose the Admin role. We need it to create your app record, signing certificates and push notification key.
- Leave access on all apps and click Invite.
You remain the Account Holder. Only you can accept Apple’s agreements, renew the membership and transfer apps. Accept updated agreements promptly, because Apple blocks new uploads until you do, and renew every year.
Step 3: Create a Google Play developer account
Register at Google Play Console. The fee is US$25, paid once to Google. Organization accounts need a D-U-N-S Number, and verification can take a few days. New personal accounts must run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days before going live; organization accounts don’t.
Step 4: Invite us to Play Console
- Sign in as the owner or an admin and open Users and permissions.
- Click Invite new users and enter hello@ebazoo.com.
- On Account permissions, turn on: view app information and download bulk reports, create, edit and delete draft apps, manage store presence, manage policy declarations, manage testing tracks and edit tester lists, release apps to testing tracks, and release to production, exclude devices and use Play App Signing. Or choose Admin (all permissions). We don’t need financial data or order management.
- Click Invite user.
Step 5: Confirm in Mobile App Builder
Open Publishing. Under Give eBazoo publishing access, click I’ve invited hello@ebazoo.com for Apple and for Google. We accept the invitations and take it from there.
Reviews and timing
Apple and Google decide whether to approve an app, and nobody can guarantee approval or a review time. Reviews often take a day or two but can take longer, especially for new developer accounts. We handle resubmissions, and you can follow each release under Publishing → Releases. A release only shows as live once the store has published it.
Design changes don’t need a new release
Changes you publish in Design Studio, such as themes, sections, navigation, campaigns and translations, reach installed apps without a store review. A new store release is only needed for changes to the app itself: a new icon or app name, new native features or permissions, and eBazoo app updates. We prepare and submit those for you.
Pause your app
Under Publishing → Maintenance, turn on Show the maintenance message in the app to show a message instead of your shop. Add a title and message, then click Save and turn on. It takes effect the next time the app loads, with no store review.
