Preview your app with eBazoo Live

Try your draft design on a real phone before you publish. Get a store code in Mobile App Builder and open it in the eBazoo Live app.

eBazoo Live is our preview app for iPhone and Android. It shows your draft design on a real phone, with your real products, while you edit it. Your customers don’t see anything until you publish.
Get a store code
- In Mobile App Builder, open Overview.
- In the Your app card, under Preview on your phone, click Get store code.
You’ll see a QR code and an 8-character store code, such as ABCD-1234. The code lasts 7 days, and Overview shows the current code every time you visit.
To preview a theme other than your current one, go to Theme Library, open that theme’s ⋯ menu and choose Preview on your phone. Your live app doesn’t change.
Mobile App Builder may still call the app “eBazoo Preview”. It’s the same app as eBazoo Live.
Open your store in eBazoo Live
- Get eBazoo Live from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open it. On Preview your store, tap Scan QR code and point it at the QR code, or type the code under Store code.
- Tap Open preview.
Next time, tap Reopen with your last code to go straight back in.
If you scan the QR code with your phone’s own camera instead, it opens a page with your store code and links to get the app.
Tip: eBazoo Live is on its way to the App Store and Google Play. Until then, Overview says the app is coming, and you can try your design in Design Studio’s live preview, which shows it on iPhone and Pixel screens.
Preview while you edit
Your phone shows the draft design and checks for changes every few seconds, so edits you save in Design Studio appear on the phone almost straight away. A Preview badge reminds you that you’re looking at a draft.
Open Preview controls for these options:
- Describe a change: say what you’d like to change, such as “Make the hero a summer sale with the swimwear collection”. Continue in Design Studio opens Design Studio in your Shopify admin with your request filled in, and the AI design assistant suggests the edit for you to review. The assistant is included in Growth and up.
- Reload design: load the latest draft now.
- Hide for now: hide the controls so you see the app as a customer would. Tap Show preview controls to bring them back.
- Exit preview: leave this store and go back to the code screen.
What works in a preview
You can browse, search, open products and add to cart, all with your real products, prices and stock.
Checkout opens your real Shopify checkout, so completing it places a real order. Push notifications, analytics and customer sign-in aren’t part of the preview.
If the code doesn’t work

If the camera doesn’t open, allow camera access for eBazoo Live in your phone’s settings, or type the code instead.
