Mobile App Builder turns your Shopify store into a native iOS and Android app. This guide takes you from installing the app to your first published design.

Install the app

  1. Install Mobile App Builder from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Shopify shows the permissions the app needs. Click Install to approve them.

The app opens in your Shopify admin. On first open, eBazoo creates your app project, starts syncing your catalog and connects the eBazoo sales channel for you.

Follow the setup guide

Overview shows a Setup guide with nine tasks and how many you’ve completed. The next open task shows a short explanation and a button that takes you there:

  1. Sync your Shopify catalog. The first sync starts by itself after install.
  2. Make products available to the eBazoo sales channel. Only products in the channel appear in your app.
  3. Generate your app with AI. AI designs a first version with your real products.
  4. Preview the app on your phone. Try your draft in the eBazoo Live app.
  5. Choose a plan. A plan unlocks publishing, campaigns and push notifications.
  6. Connect the eBazoo sales channel. App orders are then attributed to your app.
  7. Publish your app design. It becomes the live design for your installed apps.
  8. Give eBazoo access to your App Store and Google Play accounts. You invite hello@ebazoo.com.
  9. eBazoo submits your app to the stores. We build, submit and keep you updated.

Tasks tick themselves off as you complete them. Dismiss hides the guide, and Show setup guide brings it back.

Tip: You don’t need a plan to start. Without one, your store is in preview mode with 20 AI credits a month, so you can generate and design your app before you choose a plan.

Check your catalog

Open Products & Collections to see what eBazoo has synced from Shopify and when it last synced. Changes in Shopify reach eBazoo automatically, and we re-sync every night. If something looks out of date, click Sync now.

Prices, stock and checkout always come live from Shopify. The catalog copy is only used to design and preview your app.

Make products available to the app

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Products and select the products.
  2. Choose Include in sales channels and select the eBazoo channel.

See App Orders and the sales channel for the details.

Design your app

The quickest start is Generate my app in AI App Generator. See Design your app with the AI App Generator. Then make it yours in Design Studio. See Design Studio: sections, blocks and settings.

Find your way around

The menu on the left of Mobile App Builder has these pages:

  • Overview: setup guide, your app, things to do and recent activity
  • Design Studio, Theme Library, AI App Generator and Navigation: design your app
  • Campaigns and Push Notifications: reach your customers
  • Analytics and App Orders: see how your app performs
  • Products & Collections: your synced catalog
  • Publishing: developer accounts, releases and maintenance mode
  • Integrations, Billing & Plans and Settings
  • Help & Support: answers and a way to contact us

Choose a plan

When you’re ready to publish, open Billing & Plans. Basic, Growth and Scale come with a 14-day free trial for first-time subscribers, and Shopify asks you to approve every subscription. See Plans and billing.
